The specialists from the ICSPSC took part in a seminar on the communication mechanisms in anti-terrorist struggle which was held at Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, OSCE (Vienna) on 28th April 2010. The seminar was organized with the support of the OSCE Action against Terrorism Unit. The seminar was attended by the representatives of the OSCE Secretariat and diplomats from the OSCE member-states. The discussion at the seminar “The models of communication anti-terrorist struggle” was devoted to the coverage of terrorist and anti-terrorist activity in Russia and Europe. The purpose of the seminar was to analyze various ways of applying of communications which have became a main form of existence for terrorist organizations. Informational and communicational aspects which are powerful terrorists’ weapons can become Achilles' heel for them under certain conditions. In order to understand the generation of such conditions it is important to understand the role of information and communication management in current conflicts, war campaign and of course in terrorist attacks.
