Call For Papers
Dear Colleagues:
The Institute for Mongolian, Buddhist and Tibetan Studies (IMBTS) of
the Russian Academy of Sciences (Siberian Branch) is pleased to
announce that an International conference, "World of Central Asia",
will be held in Ulan-Ude on September 18-22, 2012. This Conference is
aimed to discuss theoretical approaches and a broad range of themes
covering history, culture, social and economic life in longue durée as
well as contemporary tendencies of geopolitical interaction in Asia.
We welcome contributions addressing, but not limited to, the following
range of issues:
* Central Asia in the modern world
* History and culture of nomadic civilizations
* Traditional world-view, philosophy and religion
* Literature, script and language
In the framework of the Conference we will celebrate the 90th
anniversary of the Institute for Mongolian, Buddhist and Tibetan
Studies (IMBTS).
The conference will be held in Russian, Mongolian, and English languages.
The deadline for applications to participate in the conference and
submission of papers is April 15, 2012.

Guidelines for contributors:
* Please send your paper as an MS Word file (.doc, .docx, .rtf). The
text body should be with no hyphenation, indentations and page
numbering, in Times New Roman 12 pt. Please keep your submission to no
more than 10 thousand symbols.
* The author's name should be in the upper right corner of the title
page. City and country should be indicated below the author's name.
The title of the paper should be capitalized, bold and centered.
* Papers should be typed in 1,5 space on one side only, with 2 cm
margins on all sides. Footnotes numbering should be at the bottom of
the page.
