4-Day International Conference on
Globalisation and Eurasia: Changes and Challenges
October 28-31, 2010
Circular -1

Globalization defines the integration of local, regional and global
economies within the frame work of laissez faire and neo-liberalism.
Its bearing has been considerable on different geographical zones
including Eurasia: Europe, Middle East, Central, South and South East
Asian countries. While it pre-empted healthy changes in terms of human
security and socio-economic development, it juxtapose exposed the
region to several inextricable challenges. Security threat apart, it
forged cut-throat competition among the Eurasian companies and
corporations, and speeded up ruthless exploitation of natural
resources, destruction of environment, indigenous identities and
innate cultural complexes in the entire Eurasian region.

The study of these changes and challenges make an interesting study,
and contribute a great deal to reshaping our conventional thinking,
policy frame, world view and socioeconomic, educational and cultural
stereotypes.
