Dear Colleagues,
We invite you to participate in the 2nd International Research and Practice Conference which will be held at 16-18th of November 2011 in Kazan. About 100 scholars participated in the 1st International Conference “Tolerance as a Factor of Ethnic and Religion Interaction and Convergence of Cultures in the Age of Globalization” in 2010.
The aim of the Conference-2011 is the theoretical understanding of the tendencies of development and the meaning of tolerance in ethnic and religion interaction in the situations of mutual influence and mutual penetration of cultures of Russia in the process of globalization and, particularly, on the example of the Republic of Tatarstan. We are expecting to meet the exchange of positive foreign and Russian experience and of the most effective ideas in formation the issues of tolerance in legal and law enforcement spheres, in education, mass media, culture, sport, and tourism. During the Conference will be worked out recommendation related to reconciliation of conflict demonstrations of intolerance.
Conference Format
At Plenary Session of the Conference expected are the reports of public officials of the Republic of Tatarstan and of Russian Federation, leading Russian and foreign scientists.
At Break-out sessions the following questions are expected to be discussed:
Theoretical Concepts to Study Tolerance and Multiculturalism: Interdisciplinary Prospects,
Tatarstan as an Example of Ethnic and Religion Interaction and Convergence of Cultures: Historic Experience and Contemporary Comprehension,
Ways to Create the Civilian Identity,
Convergence of Cultures and New Political Identities in Transit Societies,
Tolerance as Social Fortune of Modern Society: Practices of Interaction and Educational Technologies;
Role of Experts in Development of Tolerance/Intolerance: From Theory To Practice,
Philological Aspects to Study Tolerance,
Tolerance and Multiculturalism in Economic and Social fields (tourism, art, sport, and business),
Tolerance: socialization, education, training.
In frames of the Conference will be organized the training on tolerance.
Cultural program of the Conference:
Excursion to the Kazan Kremlin and Raifsky monastery,
Excursion to the Museums of Ethnography and History of Kazan Federal University.
To the participation in this Conference are invited scientists, post-graduate students, representatives of mass media, public organizations, clergy (different confessions), specialists, and officials of state government bodies.
In order to take part in the conference you need to fill in the Application Form and mail it together with your proceedings to the e-address globalresearchsite@gmail.com before the 30th of October 2011.
Also you can participate in the correspondence form (only publish your article in the collection of the Conference reports). The reports performed according to the requirements will be collected by the Heads of Sessions during the Conference.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to select and edit the reports without corresponding with the authors. The Organizing Committee does not review the reports and does not return them to the authors.
The reports which do not respond the requirements of the Conference will not be accepted.
The Program of the Conference will be completed after the applications processing by the expert commission by the 10th of November 2010.
